International Conference – “Locating Imagination: Media, Tourism, Rituals” – 17-18 October 2013, Rotterdam

Media tourism is the phenomenon of people traveling to places they associate with specific films, novels, songs or other media products. On the 17th and 18th of October 2013, the Hotel New York in Rotterdam will be the site for a conference on media tourism. Keynotes will be delivered by Matt Hills on fan pilgrimages, Sue Beeton on the state-of-the-art in film tourism research, and Nicola Watson on the history of literary tourism.
